Connie’s career includes over 30 years of service in public, quasi-public, private and community organizations. She served as Mayor and City Council member of Piedmont, CA for 8 years. She was one of the original chairs of The Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women.

Connie is a past President of the Board of Governors of the Commonwealth Club of California and the immediate past Co-Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Region of Facing History and Ourselves. She served as Chairman of the Board of the Oakland Public Library Foundation, the Governance Committee for Coro Center for Civic Leadership, and the Literary Committee of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
